Ceramic Tile Cut Pressed Edge

It is recommended to not install pressed edge tile with less than a 1 8 grout line. A rectified edge means the edges of the tile have been cut to ensure every tile is the same exact size no calibers. Then pass back and forth over the score mark until the tile is cut. If you are new to using these tools practice on some spare tiles before beginning your project.

It also allows for the pro to install using a very narrow grout line 1 16 or 1 8. Turn on the saw hold the tile rigidly against the tray slide it and let the blade cut the tile. Since it applies only to the tile s edges it is called an edge treatment. Rectified tile is fired tile ceramic or porcelain tile that has been mechanically cut or ground down to an exact size.
